African Padauk concert guitar,  classical or cutaway

               Padauk produces a big penetrating sound. "Big" is perhaps the best describing adjective although the clear penetrating trebles and well defined punchy basses are simply spectacular characteristics of this full sounding cutaway.  We made the back and sides a little thicker than usual (3.5mm VS 2.3mm) to enhance sustain and projection. Definitely one of the best I ever built. The reddish tones of Padauk make it a favorite among the many players that have a special place in their hearts for the color of passion...  The ease of Play is clear in pieces like El Ultimo canto... (clip) .  The wood is found in Africa and in the Indian Ocean Islands. It finishes stupendously and I consider it a top luthery wood.  If you think Cutaway, this babe is for you.
