Brazilian
rosewood, Italian spruce
I
love the punch and incredible
presence that Brazilian rosewood can add to the classical guitar sound.
This Italian spruce top reverberates generously sending huge vibration
throughout the player's body. The digital db meter marks a sustained 92
at 9 feet. This is simply exceptional! I used a 44 years old Brazilian
rosewood set that was shipped to me from Rio de Janeiro. It is a very sober
cut with several shades of brown, beige and even some pink. The figure
is even and the tap tone spectacular. Playing this instrument is fun and
majestic. The Saltarello that I play in the clip sheds light on the many
virtues of this concert babe. The action is tremendously easy and the response
is fast. We used Amboina burl from Thailand for the bridge and the headplate.
These rare woods add one more touch of beauty to this concert princess.
