African
Blackwood
Blackwood is a jewel wood both aesthetically
and acoustically. Fantastic separation of voices and punching basses contrasting
with clear trebles make this Blackwood babe is a dream come true for any
guitar player. Blackwood is the toughest wood to work and it surpasses
Brazilian rosewood in reliability, stability ad consistency. It is mostly
found in Tanzania and you have seen it in wind instruments like the clarinet
and the oboe. Tools are often destroyed by the wood and it takes twice
as much time and work to be shaped and carved than any other species. I
sell it at my cost to allow as many of my customers to afford a concert
instrument made with this terrific tropical.
