La Española
is a tremendous concert instrument. The Segovia flavor is there and it
is simply a pleasure to play. Fantastic sustain, clear trebles and a tremendous
ease of play are the main characteristics of this beauty. Over and over,
Bolivian rosewood has turned out to be one of the most rewarding woods
for back and sides. We have built many "Españolas" and
time and time again the Bolivian rosewood spruce or cedar top adds up to
a winning instrument. Bolivian rosewood, commonly known as Pau ferro, has
a beautiful grain that varies greatly from on set to another. The tap tone
is always excellent and the guitar finishes very well giving every instrument
a superlative shine and enormous beauty. The wood has a very beautiful
garin. It shares most of the qualities of the other rosewoods and is one
of the best woods for guitar construction available today.
