Master grade spruce top, Koa acacia back and sides

Koa (Acacia koa) has been considered an exceptional wood ever since the early inhabitants of Hawaii used it to build canoes. It is currently considered the best native timber species in Hawaii. Gorgeous grain and wonderful coloration. The sound is strikingly beautiful. Every voice is clearly audible and the instrument vibrates generously making it one of my favorite. Koa works exceptionally well with both spruce and cedar.
