Maple works fantastically well with both cedar and
spruce. The sound is wonderful. Generous projection and a body that vibrates
with every plucking. Clear trebles and brilliant first string accompanied
by the clearest basses you can imagine. Curly maple is the wood resulting
from trees which have made a twisted growth. Maple is, in my opinion,
the most underestimated tone wood. I rank it up there with Brazilian rose
and Blackwood. Curly maple is achieved through special methods of cutting
the lumber. It is hard to take your eyes away from this gorgeous wood and
